🎉 One Day in May: Everything Happening in Aurora This Saturday

This Saturday, May 2, Aurora is packed with things to do—from breakfast and shopping to a riverfront festival and a grand opening. If you’re looking for a reason to get out and enjoy the day, here’s a simple guide to what’s happening around town.

📍 Don’t Miss These Highlights

🥞 Start the Morning with Breakfast
Kick things off with a Pancake Breakfast (8am–11am) at St. John Lutheran School. It’s a great way to ease into the day and support a local event.

🛍️ Shop & Browse Local Finds
The Rummage Sale (8am–1pm) is happening at the same location, and there are several pop-up shopping opportunities throughout town, including the Forever Chic Popup (12:30pm–5pm) at House of Peacock.

✂️ Grand Opening in Downtown Aurora
Stop by the Ribbon Cutting for Café Cricket at 11am (315 Second St.) and help welcome a new local business to the community.

🌿 Hands-On Fun & Unique Experiences
River City Roots is hosting a Terrarium Class (11am)—a fun way to get creative. (Note: the 3pm class is already sold out.)

🎪 Aurora Spring Festival at the Riverfront
From 11am–5pm, head down to Gabbard Riverfront Park for the Spring Festival with vendors, activities, and a great excuse to enjoy the riverfront.

🎉 Celebrate Local Milestones

  • Second Time Around & Krypto’s Komix 9th Anniversary (12pm–7pm)

  • More small businesses celebrating and welcoming the community throughout the day
