🏡 Welcome to Issue #5 of the Aurora Newsletter
Hi neighbors, If you’ve ever found yourself jumping between Facebook groups trying to figure out what’s going on around town… you’re not alone. That’s exactly why I started this. 👉 Everything happening in Aurora — all in one place Each week, I’ll gather what’s happening and share it here — simple, local, and easy to keep up with. If you find it helpful, feel free to share it with a friend or neighbor. That’s how this grows. — Peggy Jones |
🌮 Tacos, Queso & a Relaxed Night Out in Aurora
Alejandra’s Authentic Mexican Restaurant 301 2nd St, Aurora, IN A great spot for casual Mexican food + outdoor seating
If you’re looking for a great spot to unwind, enjoy good food, and take in a little fresh air, Alejandra’s Authentic Mexican Restaurant is definitely worth a visit.
Located right in town, it’s a go-to for classic Mexican favorites — and one of the best parts right now is the outdoor seating, perfect for sitting back with a cold beer and enjoying a relaxed evening.
On our visit, the choriqueso was a standout — warm, cheesy, and full of flavor. The tostada was fresh and satisfying, and if you’re a steak fan, the Steak El Valle comes highly recommended — Nathan said it was one of his favorites.
Their menu has a little bit of everything — from tacos and fajitas to burritos and combination plates — all served in a casual, welcoming atmosphere that makes it easy to stay a while.
If you’re planning a midweek dinner, it’s also worth checking if they’re running specials — always a great excuse to stop in.
Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or settling in outside for the evening, it’s one of those places you’ll find yourself coming back to.
